On top of the 3 In-House performances that the company presents annually, there are also many off-site performances and appearance opportunities.

The company has been seen at outdoor festivals such as Edmonton’s KaeidoFest, Okotoks Winter Light-up, the Longview Parade and little New York Daze and Okotoks Street festivals.

Our over 18 artists have performed at the Calgary Opera, The Opera Gala Fundraiser, Cowboys Night Club, Bolero Restaurant, Medicine Hat Chamber Award Banquet and other corporate events held in locations such as the Calgary Convention Centre, the Kananaskis Hotel and Resort and the Calgary Hilton.

We are always looking for performance opportunities for our artists!

We hold annual auditions in June for the following season.

Although we are a company with a heavy aerial influence we are looking for individuals with skills in acting, singing, dancing or tumbling as well as aerial circus.

• An aerial circus component where individuals will be asked to execute moves as requested by the audition panel
• A group dance/movement component where a small choreographed dance will be taught and presented as a group
• A ground acro component were individuals will be asked to execute moves as requested by the audition panel
• A prepared piece. Each auditioning artist will be required to prepare and present a Poem of their choice. This is an acting element so a verbal reciting of the material is required.
• Show us your stuff. Each auditioning artist will receive 1 minute to show us what they’ve got. This is your chance to show us your creativity and your skills. You can dance, tumble, sing, recite a monologue... Please keep these to 1 minute. Musical accompaniment must be on a USB stick. (Please note that these elements are not to be aerial showings)

The auditions for the 2017/18 team will be announced in April 2017.

We are the proud home to the Spectacle Blue Performance Company. Not only do we have an excellent training facility for our performers but we also boast a 75 seat Black Box Theatre space complete with sound, lighting and concession.
